This quilt was made by Mary Laminack from Marble Falls, Texas. It is named, “Stars for a New Day” and was a block of the month designed by Sue Garmon and marketed through Alex Anderson’s online site. Mary entered this quilt in the 2010 Heart of Texas Quilt Show in April, 2010 and received first place in the Large Quilt Division, the Guild Choice Award and the Best of Show Award. She also entered this quilt in the Austin Area Quilt Guild Quilt Show and Sale in September, 2010 and received first place in the Kit, Block of the Month, Pre-stamped Category.
