Summer Retreat 2011 is now in the record books!!!! Planning for next year’s retreat which will be the 4th weekend in August and again at the Cimarron Ranch Retreat in Marble Falls. This year’s project was the Diamond Double pattern by Cozy Quilt Designs. Batik fabrics were selected and as you can tell from the pictures below, each color-way presented a very different finished look!
We played the Left, Right Center game for fat quarters. A new game introduced to use by Mary Clendennan, owner of the facility. It was great fun, it just didn’t last long enough! Next year we will have to start with more fat quarters! Karen Aguilar was the winner of the fat quarter pot, 36 fat quarters total!
Show and Tell is always a part of the retreat and it is always fun to see everyone’s projects and handi-work. If you didn’t get to make it this year, put it on your schedule for 2012. Project information will be available by the end of May 2012. Not sure what we will be doing yet, but as usual, it will be pre-cut and fun!
