Quilted Sneaker Weekend

Details about the Quilted Sneaker Retreat:

We had such a good time last year making these adorable quilted sneakers that we thought we would do it again, but this time, with a twist!!!!

Last year we all came with a pre-quilted piece of fabric for the shoes, this year we will be piecing the fabric for the tops and they are soooo cute!! 

You will need to bring your own fabrics and a supply list will be provided to you by email once you have registered.  The soles and all the materials required to assemble the shoes will be here when you arrive.

Our plan is to piece the shoe tops on Friday and assemble the shoes on Saturday.  The option to order additional soles for that second pair will be available at retreat.

I would rate this somewhere between beginner and intermediate on a skill level.  You do need to have some knowledge of basic sewing/piecing..

This retreat will be held at the Quilt With A Heart retreat center in Priddy, Texas, which, is located in between somewhere and nowhere in the center of Texas! We are centrally located in this great big state and are approximately 2 hours from anywhere significant in any direction you go, i.e., 2 hours to Austin, Ft.Worth, Waco, San Angelo, Abilene, Fredericksburg, you get the picture!

The cost of the retreat is $280.00. This fee covers the cost of the two night stay, the shoe kit and meals. The menu has not yet been decided but it will be yummy and  there will be plenty to eat! Bring your own snacks and favorite drinks, coffee and tea will be provided. If you would like to come a day early to get set up, you can come on Thursday afternoon for an additional $40.00 fee.
