2025 Winter Retreat

It’s that time of year again, time for Winter Retreat!!!    I finally made a deicision about the retreat pattern and I think you will LOVE it!! 

The 2025 quilt will be Kira from G E Designs.  We will be making the Lap size quilt, (63×80), and it uses 10″ squares plus some additional border yardage.  Don’t let those triangle pieces scare you, no triangle sewing involved!!!

Once you have registered you will receive a list of fabrics required, or you can purchase them here when you arrive!  This pattern uses the Stripology ruler, but you can also make it with a regular straight edge ruler, the stripology ruler just makes the cutting and trimmimg faster.   If you do not have the ruler, you will have the option to add the ruler to your booking by using the drop down menu at check out.  The ruler is $74.99 but will be discounted to $65.00 for attendees.

I would rate this on an advance beginner  on a skill level.  I am not sure if you will finish it with ample time left over for a new project, but,  I would encourage you to bring an extra project to work on just in case!

As always, this year’s retreat will again be held at the Quilt With A Heart retreat center in Priddy, Texas, which, is located in between somewhere and nowhere in the center of Texas! We are centrally located in this great big state and are approximately 2 hours from anywhere significant in any direction you go, i.e., 2 hours to Austin, Ft.Worth, Waco, San Angelo, Abilene, Fredericksburg, you get the picture!

The cost of the retreat is $225.00. This fee covers the cost of the two night stay, the pattern and meals. I haven’t yet planned the meals, but there will be plenty to eat! Bring your own snacks and favorite drinks, coffee and tea will be provided. If you would like to come a day early to get set up, you can come on Thursday afternoon for an additional $35.00 fee.
